They say that anything can happen in WWE, and Cesaro & Sheamus just proved that old chestnut right. Thanks to a surprise appearance by The New Day that threw Raw into chaos, the two-man wrecking crew commonly known as “The Bar” dethroned Dean Ambrose & Seth Rollins as Raw Tag Team Champions, thereby swapping themselves in for The Shield in the epic Champion vs. Champion bout against SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos on Sunday, Nov. 19, at Survivor Series.

While the upset delays the long-awaited dream match that has been brewing since the summer on Twitter, it also changes the stakes in a major way for the two teams, both of whom have now notched multiple reigns this year alone. For Cesaro & Sheamus, on their third stint with Team Red’s titles, a match with The Usos (fresh off of trading title reigns with The New Day in a series of instant classics) is a chance to prove they are indeed the embodiment of excellence in WWE’s tag team division.

Meanwhile, Jimmy & Jey, who have gone through perhaps the most radical reinvention of any team in 2017, have a chance to prove they’re more than just the big fish in the Team Blue pond. The twins have been angling for a fight with Raw’s Tag Team Champions since WrestleMania time, and now, with the opportunity at their doorstep, the pressure is on to deliver. The Shield would have posed enough of a challenge for them to do so, but now, ironically, the only thing standing in the way of The Uso Penitentiary is one near-unbreakable Bar.

Tune in to Survivor Series to see which team prevails in this head-to-head competition for brand supremacy on Sunday, Nov. 19, at a special start time of 7 ET/ 4 PT, streaming live on the award-winning WWE Network.

Which brand has the better Tag Team Champions? Raw’s Dean Ambrose & Seth Rollins and SmackDown’s Jimmy & Jey Uso will answer that question when they brawl in a battle for brand supremacy on Sunday, Nov. 19, at WWE Survivor Series.

These highly-acclaimed titleholders are no strangers to one another, having exchanged pleasantries a few months ago in response to a WWE.com poll asking who could dethrone the Raw Tag Team Titleholders. The tag teams traded scathing words via Twitter, as both duos seemed keen on the idea of finding out which tandem fit the bill as WWE’s best tag team champions.

Since then, both teams have faced tremendous obstacles. Ambrose & Rolllins have proven to be nearly unstoppable, most recently defying the odds of a hellacious 5-on-3 Tables, Ladders & Chairs Handicap Match alongside Kurt Angle. Meanwhile, The Usos lost their coveted titles to The New Day but got their retribution when they overcame them in an epic Hell in a Cell Match to win back the tag team gold.

With both pairs of Superstars sitting atop their respective brand’s Tag Team divisions, it’s time to finally settle the score and see who is the better tandem. The 30th annual WWE Survivor Series will play host to a battle for brand supremacy between Raw and SmackDown LIVE, and both tag team titleholders will be determined to prove their dominance.

Will it be Raw’s Ambrose & Rollins or five-time Tag Team Champions The Usos from SmackDown LIVE who prove to be the best duo in sports-entertainment?

Don’t miss out when The Lunatic Fringe & The Kingslayer collide with Jimmy & Jey on Sunday, Nov. 19, at a special start time of 7 ET/ 4 PT, streaming live on the award-winning WWE Network.

SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos wanted to kick off SmackDown LIVE by reflecting on their title victory over The New Day in a barbaric Hell in a Cell Match this past Sunday, but you’ll never guess who, who, WHO had something to add to the discussion. Yeah, The New Day.

However, Jimmy & Jey, seemingly sporting a new attitude after their incredible battle with Big E & Xavier Woods inside the structure that changes careers, appeared to be attempting to constitute a truce between the two squads … an “Uce Truce” if you will. Claiming that The Usos and The New Day were the best two teams on Team Blue, they thought it was time to bury the hatchet.

Before the historic treaty could be reached, however, they were promptly interrupted by The Hype Bros, Chad Gable & Shelton Benjamin, Breezango and The Ascension, all looking for a chance to stake their claim to a SmackDown Tag Team Championship opportunity and prove they were better than the perceived best. Ask and you shall receive, as Team Blue General Manager Daniel Bryan arrived to announce they would all have the chance to be the next challengers for the titles, in a Fatal 4-Way Match … next!

The Usos def. The New Day to become new SmackDown Tag Team Champions (Hell in a Cell Match)

DETROIT — Hell in a Cell became The Uso Penitentiary, and Jimmy & Jey earned their fifth Tag Team Championship after powering past The New Day in a match that could only be described as barbaric.

It was that way from the opening bell, as Big E dented the cell with an early spear and Xavier Woods played a tune on The Usos, literally. He destroyed both Francesca II Turbo and her immediate replacement (presumably Francesca III) before employing a cowbell and a gong to his dastardly purposes. The Usos answered with a running stink face to Woods in the crux of the cell wall. Not to be outdone, ya boys proved there were some seriously cruel intentions beneath the unicorns and cereal boxes, trapping Jey in the corner of the cell by threading several kendo sticks through the links of the cage.

The Usos, however, saw New Day and raised them — again, literally. Once Jey freed himself and superkicked Woods, the two brothers took out Big E with a suicide dive after he was perched on one of the challengers’ shoulders. They then unleashed their most savage strategy of the night, handcuffing Big E to the ring and then stringing Woods up over the ring post with cuffs of his own. The brothers then teed off on Woods with an endless series of kendo stick strikes.

Big E harnessed his last bit of unicorn magic by breaking free of his bonds, but a Double Uce took the wind out of his sails for good. Woods broke up that pinfall attempt, but he was now on his own. Still, his last stand was memorable. With his hands still tied, Woods threw headbutts and clubbed axe-handles, but The Usos overwhelmed him, propped a chair on his chest and hit another Double Uce for the win.

In the place where rivalries are settled forever, both tag teams dug deep into the cruelest corners of their imagination, but Jimmy & Jey would not be, could not be, and were not denied. They even made a show of dangling the titles in the assembled New Day’s face with the confidence and glee of a team that knew this was coming since Day One.

The Usos immediately invoked their rematch clause after losing the SmackDown Tag Team Titles to The New Day. However, the champions have upped the ante in the ultimate fashion, demanding that the latest chapter in their epic rivalry be written inside the confines of Hell in a Cell.

The bitter rivalry between the longest-reigning Tag Team Champions in WWE history and the battling brothers from Samoa has been wildly unpredictable, and the volatility between the squads has seemingly grown by the week. Amidst a mixture rap battles and other outrageous attempts by both combinations to establish themselves at Team Blue’s top team, The New Day seized the SmackDown Tag Team Titles from The Usos at WWE Battleground. Big E and Xavier Woods were then unseated by the Samoan warriors at SummerSlam Kickoff. This led to a brutal showdown on the Sept. 12 Sin City Street Fight in Las Vegas, which once again returned the illustrious titles to the larger-than-life trio.

However, the rivalry between the two teams was over. After The Usos invoked their rematch clause and got in the faces of the champions, The New Day recalled their challengers’ talk of the Uso Penitentiary and said they wanted to take that to the next level, issuing the challenge to lock themselves inside the harrowing structure that endangers careers.

Who will triumph in the latest chapter of this intense volley for tag team supremacy, when these two teams clash inside Hell in a Cell? Find out at WWE Hell in a Cell, Sunday, Oct. 8, at 8 ET/5 PT, streaming live on WWE Network!

With their SmackDown Tag Team Championship Match against The New Day less than two weeks away, The Usos went to battle with The Hype Bros, who were game for the match and attempting to get back on track after a series of tough, close losses.

The titleholders watched on from the crowd (enjoying some Booty-Os and other snacks), as Mojo Rawley made an overzealous blind tag that resulted in some miscommunication that took Ryder out and got Rawley caught with a superkick and big splash combo to take the L.

Following their victory, the boisterous Usos bragged on the microphone while getting right in the faces of Big E, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods. However, before The Usos could go on for too long about how they would regain the titles at WWE Hell in a Cell, The New Day snatched the mic and laid out a striking plan for the title bout: They wanted The Usos inside the Hell in a Cell structure!

The Usos flashed a pair of sly grins to signal their acceptance, thus making WWE history, as it will be the first time that any Tag Team Championship is decided inside the structure that shortens careers
